What does Vermont Mountain Adventures have to offer?

We’re ecstatic to say that Vermont Mountain Adventures offers the highlight to your trip that you were hoping to experience!

We’re lucky to say that our company is planted on a section of trails that leads to a magnificent view overlooking Manchester, Vermont and the Equinox Mountain range. The view isn’t all we have to offer, the guide staff and riding experience are top notch too. Our trail system has technical riding and wide open straight aways alike. We have the ability to visit Griffith Lake or River road along the way. But our favorite treat is our guide staff, they’re truly the best people you could ask to guide you and your family through the Green Mountain National Forest!

What happens if there’s no snow?

If we cancel your tour due to a lack of snow you will receive a complete refund of your tour. We’ll contact you around 48hrs in advance if we think we have to cancel. If you don’t hear from us, no news is good news, assume that everything is on track as expected.

What should we bring?

All of our guests are asked to be completely dressed and ready for snowmobiling upon arrival. Each person should be wearing winter snow pants, thick gloves, winter boots and a winter jacket.

How old do you need to be to drive?

Driver’s must have a valid driver’s license to drive (a learner’s permit does not qualify). Driver’s under 18 may only drive as a single.

Can I bring my own personal helmet?

Yes! As long as it is a DOT (Department of Transportation) approved helmet you are welcome to wear it in place of one of our rental helmets. Ski helmets are not DOT approved. DOT approved helmets will have a sticker on them saying “DOT Certified” typically on the back of the helmet.

Do we need to wear a mask inside the helmets?

You’ll want to! Any seasoned snowmobiler will tell you that they prefer to have some type of facial coverage while snowmobiling. Neck gaiters have always been our go-to when we’re out snowmobiling.

How young can my passenger be?

Passengers can be as young as 5 years old.

What is your cancellation policy?

We have a 48 hour cancellation policy. If you cancel or reduce your numbers at least 48 hours before your reserved tour time, you will receive a refund based on your changes.

What time should I arrive?

Please arrive 15 minutes before the time slot noted in your Confirmation email.  We apologize but we cannot give you a refund for arriving late to your scheduled time slot. While we always do our best to accommodate, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to go on your tour if you arrive late. It is your responsibility to ensure you arrive on time. Please remember that winter driving conditions, traffic, etc. can delay drive times. Please give yourself plenty of time to arrive at your appropriate meeting time and location.

When is payment due?

We require full payment at the time the reservation is made, but if something changes and you need to cancel just let us know at least 48 hours prior to your tour and you will receive a full refund back to the card that originally placed the reservation.

Do I need a reservation?

Yes. We recommend that you have a reservation finalized at least 24 hours before your tour.

Can I add a passenger to my reservation the day of?

Yes! As long as you have open passenger seats on your reservation you can add passengers at anytime.

Can I add a driver to my reservation the day of?

Maybe! If we have a spare snowmobile available that hasn’t already been rented then yes.

I’m a single parent with 2 kids, can we still go together?

Yes! As long as one of the kids doesn’t mind sitting passenger with the guide.

How many snowmobiles can go out at once?

We can facilitate up to 8 two seater snowmobiles with two guides, which means you can book up to 16 people on one time slot. Remember: Passengers are welcome to switch with a driver as long as the have a valid driver’s license (Learner’s permits do not qualify).

What happens if I or somebody in my group breaks their rental snowmobile?

Great question! We offer an optional $15 damage insurance for each vehicle that has a $250 deductible. What does that mean? If you or somebody in your party totals a $10,000 sled and you paid for the $15 damage insurance, you will only be required to pay us $250 and we will cover the cost for the rest of the damages.

Do we still snowmobile when it snows?

Yes. It’s our favorite time to snowmobile actually. Just remember, that if it’s snowing, the roadways to get to us will be snowy too! Please give yourself enough drive time in advance to safely reach our location at your reserved check-in time.
